Narrow Linewidth Tunable Laser Source for Defence & Secure Communication

Defence-grade secure communication links — Radio Frequency over Glass (RFoG), Terahertz point-to-point communication, and related sensing systems — require stable, spectrally pure laser sources qualified to reliability standards well beyond typical commercial requirements. This sub-1 kHz linewidth laser variant provides the stable, spectrally pure source needed for RFoG and terahertz communication research and secure optical link testing, supporting both lab-based proof-of-concept work and progression toward field-deployable systems.

Because defence photonics programs frequently move from initial laser source selection through component qualification to field trial, the laser’s availability across multiple CoBrite chassis form factors — benchtop through 19-inch rack — allows a program to scale the same source family across each development stage.
